Author Talk & Book Signing: Atima Omara in Conversation with Mikki Kendall

Join Zora’s Place for an inspiring afternoon of conversation with political strategist & author Atima Omara to celebrate her debut book.

For generations, Black women have been at the forefront of movements for justice, democracy, and social change—often shaping history without receiving the recognition they deserve. In The Instigators: How Black Women Have Been Essential to American Democracy (And What We Can Learn from Them), Omara shines a light on the organizers, strategists, elected officials, and everyday women whose leadership has transformed American democracy while offering powerful lessons for anyone committed to creating a more just future.
